The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) holds ultimate responsibility for the safety, operations, and personnel on the offshore installation. As the highest authority on the platform, the OIM oversees all production, drilling, maintenance, and marine activities, and leads the emergency response organization. This is the most senior operational role on the installation and requires exceptional leadership, judgment, and technical breadth.

Installation Leadership & Management
- Hold overall authority and accountability for all operations on the offshore installation.
- Lead the daily operations management team including Production, Drilling, Maintenance, and HSE Leads.
- Interface directly with the operator's offshore representative and onshore management.
- Approve all PTW activities, operational decisions, and emergency responses.
HSE & Emergency Response Command
- Serve as Incident Commander for all offshore emergencies (fire, blowout, man overboard, MEDEVAC).
- Ensure all personnel are competent in their emergency response roles.
- Chair safety meetings, conduct management walkthroughs, and drive safety culture.
- Maintain all statutory compliance with Surinamese offshore regulations and operator standards.
Operations & People Management
- Oversee crew competency, performance management, and succession planning.
- Manage installation budgets, cost control, and performance reporting.
- Chair pre-spud meetings, HAZOP/HAZID reviews, and simultaneous operations planning.
